Rebecca Professional PictureREBECCA ROZENBERG | Editorial Director

Major: Writing, Literature and Publishing

Year of Graduation: May 2017

Rebecca was about eight when she told her mom that she wanted to “read for a living.” This probably came as more than a shock to her mother, given the fact that Rebecca only learned how to speak English about two years prior (Russian being her first language). And, twelve years later, here she is. Because Emerson holds one of the only undergraduate publishing degrees in the country, she made sure to throw myself into co-curricular organizations immediately. she joined Concrete Literary Magazine on the Prose Team and Undergraduate Students for Publishing’s Wilde Press Substantive Team. As a sophomore, she became part of Emerson College’s Honors Program; and joined the Office of Diversity and Inclusion as Assistant Editor-In-Chief of The Luminary, Emerson College’s Diversity Magazine. As a junior, she is now Managing Editor of Concrete, Editorial Director of Wilde Press, and Editor-in-Chief of The Luminary. Freshman year, she also held an internship as a Program Intern at 826 Boston, a non-profit writing, tutoring, and publishing center for young adults. The summer after her sophomore year, she held an internship in New York City as an Editorial Intern at The Plunge, the #1 wedding planning website for men. Although you can find her editorial work mostly online or working for magazines, her true passion is books. She hopes to work in a publishing house one day, in any editorial sector she can really get into. Truthfully, however, any position in a book publishing house would feel rewarding to her.
