A diverse survey of student work made in response to the marathon bombing tragedy. Utilizing a range of creative approaches from personal documentary, narrative treatments, and experimental film and video, these works from Visual and Media Arts Undergraduate and Graduate students present a multidimensional response to the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing and its aftermath. Their work is a register of the fears and insecurities that tragic events can catalyze, and a testament to the creative achievements of Emerson visual artists who engage with challenging circumstances in an effort to help us all heal and comprehend, both individually and collectively.
